Following yesterday's announcement of the new Tiny catalogue, I thought I would post just a few of the new models that caught my eye!  Remember, all the bus related models can be found on the Xtra section of the site.

A further model that carries Model 1 10th anniversary decals is 63601A. This model is based on already issued 63601, which featured NWFB 4523 (TW8508) on route 42 to North Point Ferry, however, the identity of the bus has been changed to represent 4503 (TL7116) - the route number and destination remain as 63601. My thanks to Chris Baines for advising me of this release.
26th January 2021

Tiny has launched its 2021 catalogue and I have added a new page to the Xtra section of the site that features a number of pages from the catalogue that relate to model buses.

The Tiny index page is currently being updated to include any new models and these are being highlighted accordingly.

This latest model carries a  product code of STK001 - just follow the link to see more.

Further to my posting on 3rd January, the above model is now available to order* from Tung Wah Group of Hospitals (TWGH).  As reported, the TWGH celebrated it's 150th Anniversary last year and this model adopts the Group’s anniversary illustration 'For Charity, We Go Beyond', created by local artist Vivian HO. A variant to the two recent Model 1 10th anniversary releases (63603A and 63347B) is this model of New World First Bus 4523, originally issued back in February 2018 (63601), but reissued with 10th anniversary decals added. Only a few appear to have been issued. It is understood that this model was used following there being an insufficient quantity of 4503. I have allocated this model a product code of 63601C and a new page will be added shortly. My thanks to Dennis KW Chau for providing details and photographs of this model.

I am finding it increasingly challenging trying to keep track of all the Tiny 1/110 scale releases and consequently, details of new releases may not necessarily be featured in this News page. I will, however, endeavour to include these in the Tiny index page, subject to being able to obtain all the necessary information for the model.

The sole Kwoon Chung Motors (KCM) Gemilang bodied MAN RR8 finally entered service on the Fairview Park Shuttle Bus service recently, having been first registered in July 2020. It was first delivered to Hong Kong in the latest New Lantao Bus (NLB)livery and was supposed to have been the demonstrator for fleet replacement serving Southern Lantau. However, it is believed that restrictions on the terms of new franchised buses imposed by Transport Department, all new franchised buses should be wheelchair accessible. This bus was not wheelchair accessible and therefore could not join the NLB fleet and was repainted into full white livery when stored by the dealer, subsequently receiving the standard KCM livery, as pictured above - the image is 'clickable'.
