"Be your own bank"
The Bitcoin Tram is an initiative of the Hong Kong Bitcoin community. Three trams rode up and down Hong Kong Island in September 2020 in full Bitcoin livery. This model is a scale of 1:76 metal die cast of 11.5cm in length. It comes in a plexiglass box and can be removed from its base.
This is a limited edition model. Only 210 items are made. Each box is numbered.

Released today were the two Citybus liveried ADL Enviro400s. 7021 (RB4681) is on route 9 to Cape D'Aguilar and Shek O (63376) whilst 7055 (RY8397) is on route 6 to Ma Hang and Stanley (63377).

New photographs of the New World First Bus and Citybus Year of the Ox models are shown above. As reported on 9th December, both feature Wrights Gemini 3 bodied Volvo B8Ls. New World First Bus 5230 (WN2615) is on route 18 to North Point (63625/20098) whilst Citybus 8807 (WP1057) is on route 118 with a destination of Cheung Sha Wan West (63626/CM170). Each is limited to 500 pieces and they are expected to be released in the first quarter of 2021.

Announced today by Model 1 is this China Motor Bus Leyland Olympian LM7 (FW3152) carrying CMB Hotline decals is on route 680 with a destination of Ma On Shan (63075). (This item corrected on 28th January 2021)

 

Network Shuttle is now accepting pre-orders for these two China Motor Bus Volvo Olympians carrying A20 route branding - VA12 (GE7388) is on route 307 to Sheung Wan (63523) whilst VA13 (GE9574) is on route A20 with a destination of Airport (63524).

 


Further to yesterday's new, here are a couple of images of the Automobile giftset.

 
 
Whilst appearing to use the Tiny 1/110 scale casting, this Automobile liveried Citybus 12.8 metre ADL 'facelift' Enviro500 is being promoted as an 80M Bus Model product.

 
 

Released and already sold out is Tiny's 1/110 scale metallic champagne liveried ADL Enviro500 - this was issued as a 'members only' release. It features ATEU21 (PJ6310) on route 888 and comes in a special presentation box with a Tiny badge. Any details of the product code would be most welcome.

Set for release in Hong Kong on Wednesday (30th December) are the two Citybus liveried ADL Enviro400s first announced back in June (63376 & 63377).

The first of Network Shuttle's 10th anniversary models has been released (see News 19th December). It features New World First Bus 11 metre Wrights Gemini 2 bodied Volvo B9TL 4503 (TL7116) on route 91 to Ap Lei Chau Estate (63603A).

 
A gift set of two models, one at 1/76 scale the other at 1/110 scale, is to be issued featuring Kowloon Motor Bus ADL 'facelift' Enviro500 3ATENU173 (VN7846) with Automobile 40th anniversary decals. The smaller of the two models was released by Tiny back in November last year, as seen below.

Following it's transfer from the Long Win Bus fleet (see News 21st December), former fleet no. 707 (NA9187) has been repainted into standard Kowloon Motor Bus livery, receiving fleet no. AVBE92.

Citybus no. 26 attended the opening ceremony yesterday morning for the Tuen Mun to Tung Chung tunnel and carried this special advertisement. The new tunnel opened to the public this morning.

Details of Tiny's 1/110 scale Kowloon Motor Bus 11 metre Volvo Olympian in Christmas livery have now been obtained. It features AV381 (HN8357) on route 1 to Star Ferry (KMB2020083).
   

And here is Buses Model Co. 1/76th scale release issued six years ago (BLK33001).

First is an unidentified Long Win Bus 11 metre Volvo Olympian on route E31 (Box 150 / KMB2020129). Next comes a metallic red Kowloon Motor Bus Wrights Gemini 3 bodied Volvo B8L featuring V6B122 (WL3762) on route 613 (KMB2020058). Then it's a Christmas liveried Kowloon Motor Bus Volvo Olympian and finally Citybus Daimler Fleetline D35 (DA1262) in MTR livery on route 709 (L32 / ATC65001).

Tiny has announced this 1/43 scale Leyland Victory Mk 2 in New World First Bus livery. It features LV30 (CH5001) on route 81 with a destination of Lai Tak Tsuen (ATC43161). Being an unlicensed model, it carries no fleetnames or logos.

Released 20 years ago today was the first Duple Metsec bodied Dennis Dragon from Drumwell, featuring AD42 (FB8780) on route 59X to Tuen Mun Pier (DW10201).




I am advised that at least one UK customer has received confirmation that their Model 1 Citybus ADL Enviro400s have been despatched (63376/63377).

 
The opening of the new Tuen Mun - Chek Lap Kok Tunnel, known as as the Tuen Chi Tunnel, is set for 27th December. Long Win Bus  has announced details of six Tuen Mun district airport routes through the new road in the first phase, including three airport bus "A" routes , two "E" routes for external buses from North Lantau and one "NA" route for midnight airport buses . At the same time, the coverage will be expanded and fares will be reduced.

The newly opened all-day airport bus route A34 (Hung Hung Bridge (Hongyuan Road) ⇋ Airport (Ground Transportation Center));
Route A33 <Tuen Mun Highway Interchange Station (Kowloon direction) ⇋ Airport (Ground Transportation Center)>;
Route A33X <Tuen Mun (Fu Tai) ⇋ Airport (Ground Transportation Center)>;
Route E33 <Tuen Mun City Center ⇋ Airport (ground transportation center) via Tung Chung>;
Route E33P (Tuen Mun Siu Hong Station (South) ⇋ Airport (ground transportation center) via Tung Chung); and
Route NA33 <Tuen Mun (Fu Tai) ⇋ Airport (Cathay Pacific City)>.

My thanks to those of you who confirmed that Tiny's model of a Kowloon Motor Bus ADL Enviro500 in the grey/white rail feeder livery has yet to be released (KMB2020014).
 

Yet another Tiny 1/110 scale model announced today is this Kowloon Motor Bus 12.8 metre 'glass staircase' ADL 'facelift' Enviro500, which features E6X18 (WH4416) on route 258P with a destination of Lam Tin Station (Box 98 / KMB2020128). 

The Tiny 2020 catalogue (second edition) includes several more Bruce Lee decorated models, namely:-

KMB 12.8 metre ADL 'facelift' Enviro500 in a white livery
KMB 12 metre Transbus Enviro500 in a red livery
KMB 12 metre Volvo B9TL Wrights Gemini in a black livery

No further details are presently known.

I am hoping that someone can confirm whether or not Tiny released a model of a KMB ADL Enviro500 in the grey/white rail feeder livery, as pictured above? I have the model listed as KMB2020014 with a destination of 'Not in Service' but no other details or photographs. Thanks in anticipation.


 

Yet another new 1/110 scale release from Tiny, this being Kowloon Motor Bus Alexander Dennis Enviro500 hybrid ATH2 (TA2132) on route 1A with a destination of via Mong Kok (Box 190/KMB2020016).

 
 
Two new models have been released by BR Bus Model, both featuring Kowloon Motor Bus Mercedes-Benz O305 ME17 (DF8519) with all over advertising for Tsuen Wan Plaza. One is on route 68 to Sham Shui Po (Yen Chow Street) and the other on route 74A to Kwun Tong Ferry.

The above MAN A95 (Euro 6) die-cast model was launched by Knackstop today at 12 noon. It features SG2016M with a destination of LTA-SGBus (STK001).

Knackstop, a retail arm set up by the Land Transport Authority (LTA), sells a collection of public transport-inspired keepsakes and souvenirs. The MAN A95 (Euro 6) is its second die-cast bus model to be put on sale, retailing at S$92. An earlier version of the MAN A95 was first sold by Knackstop in 2017.

Sales:

As of 1240hrs today, the bus model was sold out
 on both the Lazada and Shopee platforms,
The model was released on Lazada at 1200hrs, and on Shopee at around 1230hrs, with an estimated 60 bus models on each platform. Both were sold out within 10 minutes of release:-

Lazada: SG Bus Model A95 (Euro 6) (Quantity: unknown)
Shopee SG Bus Model A95 (Euro 6) (Quantity: 60)

First is the latest photographs from Masterpiece Collectibles of their forthcoming New Zealand Motor Bodies Volvo B57.


 
The update on their Facebook page reads "Our 1/76 resin B57 prototype bus is well underway with our craftsman hard at work! The model is still undergoing numerous changes before it gets the 100% ok to be our next Masterpiece".

 
Three new Kowloon Motor Bus models have been announced.
 
 
Two feature 12.8 metre ADL 'facelift' Enviro500s with solar power panels on the roof, namely E6X67 (WN2756) on route 42A with a destination of Jordan (West Kowloon Station) (KMB2020027) and E6X46 (WL9770) on route 277E with a destination of Lam Tin Station (KMB2020028).
 
   
The third is, as expected, Wrights Gemini 3 bodied Volvo B8L V6B71 (WF6188) with Bruce Lee 80th anniversary advertising,which is on route 80 to Mei Lam (KMB2020093).

 
   
And finally, for now, it is confirmed that a model of Citybus 12.8 metre ADL 'facelift' Enviro500 6427 (VB1087) is set for release shortly. It is on route 969 to Causeway Bay (CM171).

Not previously recorded is this Tiny 1/110 scale Kowloon Motor Bus 12.8 metre ADL 'facelift' Enviro500.  E6X97 (WU4184) on route 39M to Allway Gardens  (KMB2020075).

 
And continuing the Tiny 1/110 theme, another new model is announced, this featuring Kowloon Motor Bus Dennis Dragon 3N92 (DD9956) with Konica all-over advertising. It looks to come in colourful packaging!

What is believed to be the first 12.8 metre MCV EvoSeti bodied Volvo B8L for Long Win Bus arrived in Hong Kong yesterday along with the residue of KMB's order of 110 such buses. Of note on the new Long Win example is the provision of some opening windows. These images are 'clickable'.

Having been announced back in July, this Tiny 1/110 scale Kowloon Motor Bus BACo bodied Leyland Fleetline in Shell all-over advertising is now available . It features D969 (BR3692) with a destination of Private (ATC64972).

Once again, todays news features a new Tiny model, but this time it is to 1/76 scale. Public Light Bus KL5188 carries advertising for Hang Heung Cake Shop. It is on route 32 with a destination of Tan Kwai Tsuen - Yuen Long (ATC65089).

It is one of four Hang Heung Cake Shop liveried Tiny models announced by the company on 24th November and they include a van, truck, double-deck bus and this model.

More Tiny 1/110 scale news today - advertised as a 'Members Exclusive' model is the above Kowloon Motor Bus Mercedes-Benz O305 which features ME29 (DG5071) on route 68X to Un Long. 
 
A further Mercedes-Benz O305 in the form of ME1
