Still operating in the UK is former China Motor Bus (CMB) Duple Metsec bodied Dennis Condor DL13 (EF7027) which was one of a batch of forty-six such buses delivered to CMB in 1989/90. It was first registered in Hong Kong on 17th August 1989. Thirty plus years later is was noted operating a school run last Thursday (26th January). Now registered HIL8130, it is in the ownership of Myalls of Bassingbourn, Cambridgeshire, whom I believe acquired the bus soon after its arrival in the UK in 2002. My thanks to Luke Garley for allowing me to share his photograph and to Anthony Lui of Hong Kong for advising me that Bassingbourn is in Cambridgeshire and not Hertfordshire! 29th January

Seeing the photograph of Kowloon Motor Bus Dennis Dragon AD272 (GR8180) in all-over advertising for Nikon on social media earlier today prompted me to photograph my model of the bus, albeit the model carries no registration. The model was released by Collector's Model back in July 2001 and features Hong Kong singer Joey Yung. My thanks to Grant Ng Kwok Kuen for allowing me to use his photograph. A new page has now been added for the previously unrecorded Venus Collectibles Leyland Olympian, which was recently brought to my attention by Robin Bennett, and details of which were included below (MBL03).
A new page has also been added to the XTRA section of the site for the Citybus Year of the Rabbit bus.
Released 20 years ago today was this Kowloon Motor Bus Alexander bodied Mercedes-Benz O305. Produced by Drumwell, it features ME3 (DF6700) on route 105 to Lai Chi Kok and was limited to 3,500 pieces - rather more the the quantities produced these days! Released in Hong Kong today is this 'My Melody' decorated Kowloon Motor Bus 12.8 metre MCV EvoSeti bodied Volvo B8L. It features V6X72 (XE904) on route 1A to Star Ferry and is limited to 1,000 pieces (KMB2022152). Details of this model were reported back on 20th December. Tiny has announced the above 1/43 scale Kowloon Motor Bus Leyland Victory Mk2 with KMB employment advertising. It features G492 (CW9973) on route 72 to Tai Wo Estate (ATC43211). It is anticipated that it will be released in the 4th quarter of this year. Tiny has also announced several new 1/110 scale model buses and these are currently being added to the Tiny 1/110 page.
I believe that both the Citybus and Kowloon Motor Bus Year of the Rabbit models have now been released. 18th January

Kowloon Motor Bus has formally announced a 1/76 scale model of its Year of the Rabbit bus along with a similarly decorated Qbus. As confirmed already, the model features 12-metre Wrights Gemini 3 bodied Volvo B8L V6B96 (WG8086) and it is on route 118 with a destination of Siu Sai Wan (KMB2022187). 12th January

Citybus has officially launched its Year of the Rabbit livery for 2023. It has been applied to Wrights Gemini 3 bodied Volvo B8L 8829 (XV1863). The model was first announced back on 8th December. I am unsure if a New World First Bus example will follow.

Pictured above is Kowloon Motor Bus E6X257, a 12.8 metre ADL 'facelift' Enviro500, which was registered on 6th January and is the newest of this type. Of interest is the narrower glass staircase panel, when compared to the shot below of E6X145, which was registered in August 2021.
