Details of two future Collector's Model releases:-
The top photograph shows KMB Dennis Dragon AD332 in the all-over advertising livery of AXA Insurance, on route number 960 to Wan Chai Ferry, whilst the lower photograph is of KMB's Leyland Victory G224 in Bridgestone livery, on route number 73 to Tai Po Industrial Estate.

Only 96 Pokémon liveried Collector's Models (DA102B) were imported into the UK by wholesaler John Ayreys, despite an order for many more. Digby's Miniatures, whose details can be found on our Stockists page, can obtain these models. I am also informed that Digby's will be the sole UK stockist receiving a quantity of the Citybus DMS/Lodekka set, which will retail for about Ł38, plus p+p. Watch this space for more information.

Corgi Metrobus MC7 (45107), commissioned by the Hong Kong Transport Society, is set to be released in Hong Kong on 2nd July, with a quantity of 4,800, of which 1,800 are destined for the UK.

ABC Models have announced no less than three new releases, all CMB vehicles and carrying their "Hotline" Information livery. The first, due for release later this month, is an MCW Metrobus, ML25, (000801) . The other two releases are of Leyland Victory Mk 2 LV18,  Model No. 000404A shows the earlier "Hotline" decals, whilst 000405A carries the later version.
19th June 2000

Collector's Model have released the "Hollywood Plaza" liveried Dennis Jubilant (V109A) in Hong Kong today.

Below are photographs of Citybus's forthcoming DMS/Lodekka set (19906) , expected for release in Hong Kong shortly. This will feature the Lodekka model already issued (19906a), and a variation of the recently released DMS model, which has chinese registration and adverts for their cross border service (the National Express style ones) (19906b). The vehicle identity will also be different.
To add even more value to the set, there will be an illustrated colour fleetlist correct at 31/12/86, a Citybus pen, a fridge magnet, and a key ring with the Daimler scroll etched on one side and the Citybus fleetname on the other. It is understood that this set is being handled by Citybus, and will not be available through the EFE collectors club, however it will be available in the UK through certain channels. More details will follow!!

8th June 2000

Holiday now over, I have returned to find news of no less than four releases during the past week.

It started with Corgi's second "Queen Mary" (41908), this time in CMB's blue and cream livery, released on Saturday 27th May. Released on the same day, and again another Corgi model, was the KMB Dennis Trident with Duple Metsec bodywork (44511).

Monday 29th May saw a further release of Collector's Model Dennis Dragon (DA104B), this time carrying Bridgestone all-over advertising.

Finally, on Wednesday 31st May, ABC made a surprise release of (000302A), a single deck Thornycroft Cygnet.

Collector's Model have announced the lucky number in the draw for the Philippines Dennis Jubilant (V107A) - the lucky number being 184. Each Hong Kong release of the "Caltex" liveried Leyland Victory Mk2 (V111B) included a draw number.

The July issue of Diecast Modeller is now on sale and contains an excellent article by Vic Davey on the latest Hong Kong releases.
